Advocate for Hearing Aid Coverage – Medicare

Action Needed:  Contact Mimi Walters US Representative in Congress.  Tell her to vote for H.R. 2748 (“Help Extend Auditory Relief (HEAR) ACT of 2015.”

See Mimi Walters contact info at the bottom of this page.

See info below about the bill and what it proposes.

Rep. Cartwright Re-Introduces Legislation to Provide Coverage of Audiology Services for Medicare Beneficiaries.

The HEAR Act would provide Medicare coverage for hearing rehabilitation services, including a comprehensive audiology assessment to determine if a hearing aid is appropriate.  The bill would also extend Medicare coverage to hearing aids

In 2013 a Bill (Help Extend Auditory Relief (HEAR) Act of 2013, H.R. 3150) was submitted to the US Congress  to provide coverage of Audiology services and hearing aids to Medical beneficiaries.  It did not get enough votes from US Representatives to pass.   It died in Congress.

In 2015 the Bill (“Help Extend Auditory Relief (HEAR) Act of 2015”, H.R. 2748)  has been reintroduced and in order for it to pass we need to take action.  See the Bill,  H.R. 2748

Together we can get this passed.

Please write your US Representative in support of the “Help Extend Auditory Relief (HEAR) Act of 2015”, H.R. 2748.

In order for this to pass we need a majority vote in the House then it goes to the Senate.  It is a lot of work but if we each do our share, we can do this together.

The 45th Congressional District Includes the cities of Irvine, Tustin, North Tustin, Lake Forest, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Villa Park, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto De Caza, and portions of the cities of Anaheim and Orange.
